The Everyday Language Learner Interview Series: Neil Rees

It is not very often that you come across someone who is both extremely experienced in learning other languages but also knowledgeable and talented in teaching others how to become an independent language learner.
Neil Rees is both of these.
Neil has learned to varying extents a handful of languages and has worked over the past years to train others to be self-directed, community based language learners.  His experience and common sense approach to helping others learn how to learn languages is apparent from the get go.

Spring cleaning!

We spent the weekend doing some housecleaning here at LLU…  a coat of fresh paint, moved some furniture around, opened some windows, changed a couple lightbulbs here and there.   And yes, the dog helped.

Textivate your text

Textivate is a website that allows teachers or students to make interactive games from chunks of text. Great for MFL controlled assessment practise where they can use examples of paragraphs to practise key phrases.
Students can cut and paste paragraphs up to 500 words and use from home to test themselves or in a computer lesson. There are a number of options such as:
